This San Diego Padres warm-up jacket was worn and signed twice by former first baseman Steve Garvey during the latter portion (1985-1987) of his tenure in the Mission Valley. The brown nylon button-down garment features “SD” sewn to the left breast in yellow-on-white double twill. Just below, Garvey’s black marker signature shows (“9”) quality. Within the collar, a “Wilson” size “44” label has a vintage black marker notation of “6.” Just below, an additional Garvey autograph is executed in blue marker (“9”).
There are two front pockets and the collar, waistband and sleeve endings are comprised of brown and yellow striped stretch ribbed knit. The jacket shows moderate wear.
