Before wowing Fenway crowds with tape measure home runs, David Ortiz established himself in the Twin Cities, where he wore and signed this Twins jacket. Tailored for “Big Papi” during the latter portion (2000-2002) of his Twins tenure, this blue-and-red nylon button-down garment features “Twins” sewn across the chest in red-on-white twill and an MLB silhouette logo sewn to the base of the neck. Near the right shoulder, Ortiz has signed in silver Sharpie (“10” strength) and inscribed “game – 27.” The “Majestic” size “XXL” item shows light wear.
Red-and-blue striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the shoulders, collar, waistline and sleeve endings. The jacket features two front pockets.
