Say yes to this 1960s Chicago Cubs black face bobble head doll. While all 1960s black face bobbles are considered rare due to being issued in limited quantities, this one is a "happy face" type, distinguished by a green square base, raised block lettering on the jersey, and a backwards "C" decal on the hat. The underside of the base is stamped "Made in Japan", along with a 1962 copyright date, and the cheerful little fellow wears a fielder's glove on his left hand, while holding a baseball in his right hand. Age-appropriate wear includes a couple of chips on the bill of the cap, moderate wear/erosion around the head opening, a crack behind the left ear, and minor loss at the center of the cursive "Chicago" base decal. All this adds up to a (GD-VG) designation for this sixty-year-old figure, which is otherwise vibrant and glossy, with great display appeal.
