With “7 20 2007” stamped on the knob end, this could/may have been the bat that Chase Utley used to go 2-4, including a two-run homer to center against Doug Brocail of the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.
PSA/DNA graded this 31.6 oz., 33.5” Marucci Utley Custom Cut bat a solid GU8 – it is uncracked but it sure looks like a 2 hit and a few foul balls kind of night at the plate with scuffs, scrapes, and dings galore. “26” appears in silver ink on the indented barrel end, and engraved into the knob end below the date, and above “35 05.”
