This glorious 5" realistic face figure is a remarkable (NM+) example, with full decals on the jersey and base, bold paint, bright white raised letters on the cap, and abundant gloss. A red foil "Japan" sticker is affixed to the underside of the base, which is outfitted with a magnet. The head tilts a bit to the left, and there is a mere 1/4" wisp of a paint scratch coming off the head opening, behind the left ear, that is barely perceptible to the naked eye. Displaying a solid shape with deference to a single corner split, the factory box bears a vibrant "Mr. Home Run" label on the lid, suggesting this classic piece was made available shortly after Maris broke the single-season home run record.
